What is .TCP File Extension? How to Open Tally TCP?

TCP file, short for Tally Compiled Program File, is a file format related to accounting software named Tally.ERP. TCP file format is generated when TDL (Tally Definition language) program is compiled with Tally developer. In other words, TCP mainly stores a compiled program which is created by Tally.

The default location of .TCP depends on what Tally application is installed in the system. For each application, the default location will be different:

  • Tally TCP file gets stored in the directory C:\Tally.ERP 9

Tally.Developer 9

  • Tally TCP file gets stored in the directory C:\Tally.Developer 9
